EDITORIAL // Our Top Horror Fan Films of 2019

Another year has come and gone, and with it has been some truly amazing horror fan films to spook us along the way. In no particular order, here are my choices for the top Horror Fan Films of 2019.

Friday the 13th: Return to Crystal Lake

"Friday September 13th, in the year of 1957, a group of counselors for Camp Crystal Lake were assigned to watch that summers group of young children. Unfortunately, one by the name of Jason Voorhees “accidentally downed” in the camp lake. Seeking revenge, his mother returned to the camp and killed all but one of the counselors, Alice, who eventually ended Pamela’s life by beheading her with a machete. Now, exactly 62 years later on the anniversary of Jasons death, a particular group of friends set out to make some fast cash, posing as counselors to help troubled teens at the infamous Camp Crystal Lake. Disregarding all camp fire stories of the erringly haunted, dangerous and deserted camp, they lead the teenagers out into a great unknown with no way to escape. Here, they will all meet their fate to the reawakened Jason."

Tiffany + Chucky

Long before being fatally wounded and transferring his soul into the body of a Good Guy doll, Charles Lee Ray aka Chucky, was better known as the Lakeshore Strangler; a serial killer who wrought havoc all over the Chicago area. But Chucky's killing spree wasn't a solo venture. He had a little help from the only woman crazy enough to stand by his side- Tiffany Valentine. This is how they met.

Here Comes the Night

When Sarah, Jack, and Pete go off to meet their party friends for a weekend camping trip, they soon discover they are not alone. When laughter turns to screams, and the blood begins to spill, this unsuspecting group gets more than they bargained for.

Friday the 13th: Vengeance

When Angelica Jarvis learns of her father's disappearance among a new string of murders, she assembles a search party to find him. When the group discovers Jason's father, Elias Voorhees, is back, what they uncover will change the town forever.Sep 18, 2019
